Vincitore del premio Oscar con il documentario Searching for Sugar Man, visto ieri…

Perchè un ifono? Il regista svedese ha dichiarato di aver girato alcune scene del documentario con lo smartphone giusto per usare un’applicazione a cui non voglio fare pubblicità che ha reso le riprese “proprio come quelle reali”…vabbè…

Comunque il documentario è bello senza essere eccezionale, ma pesa (per me) come un macigno quello che ho letto sulla wikipedia:

“The film’s narrative omits that Rodriguez was also very successful in Australia in the 1970s and became aware of it enough to tour there extensively in 1979 and 1981. Some critics have taken issue with this, calling it “myth-making”. However, the film focuses on his mysterious reputation in South Africa, and the attempts of music historians there to track him down in the mid-1990s. South Africans, and especially the main protagonists, were unaware of his Australian success due to the harsh censorship enacted by the apartheid regime coupled with international sanctions made any communication with the outside world on the subject of banned artists virtually impossible.”

Ovvero, tra il 1979 e 1981 Rodriguez ha fatto dei tour in Australia, mentre nel documentario il tour in Sud Africa viene mostrato come primo tour internazionale e primo riconoscimento dopo il licenziamento dall’etichetta discografica americana (avvenuto nei primi anni ’70)…un documentario, secondo me, dovrebbe al massimo prendere un punto di vista, un’opinione, ma non “creare” una realtà parallela…altrimenti diventa fiction…
