In epoca di ronde legalizzate, mi piacerebbe vedere come “reagirebbero” alla visione del film i leghisti e tutti i favorevoli ai linciaggi in piazza…se non vengo linciato io prima…

Tutt’altro che apprezzato all’epoca, fu il primo ed unico film diretto dall’attore Charles Laughton. Bellissimo bianco e nero fortemente contrastato, e bellissima anche la carrellata sugli animali lungo il fiume, che mi ha fatto venire più che in mente i capolavori naturalistici di Terrence Malick.
